Public record: how we check
Empty means nothing was found in the sources checked, not a clean record.
Rules (the same for every candidate and party)
- Organization roles. Listed only when the candidate leads, works for, sits on the board of, or is an official spokesperson for an organization, and only from the candidate's own website or official accounts, the organization's own website, or official filings (Georgia Secretary of State, IRS Form 990). Wording is neutral; we add no labels.
- Events. Listed for any party wherever an official source exists: the candidate's own website or campaign event page, a party's own website, or ticketing and donation pages run by the campaign or party (ActBlue, WinRed, or Eventbrite when the organizer is the campaign or party). We show the event name, host, date, venue and a link, and nothing more. Third-party sites and unsourced social-media posts are not used.
- Gender policy. Only the candidate's own verbatim, linked statements, or their recorded votes on official roll calls. We never state or speculate about anyone's personal gender identity or orientation.
- Court records. Only official court, clerk or jail records that show the case number, court, charge, date and final disposition. A charge is never listed without its outcome, an arrest or booking alone is not listed, and traffic infractions are left out. If a court's records are not publicly searchable, we do not use them.
- Each entry is checked by a build test against a saved copy of its source page or official roll call before anything is published. A block appears only when it has content, and only the categories with findings are shown.
Bartow County, Georgia (checked October 18, 2026)
- Candidates: {PR_CANDS}.
- Campaign websites: bellaforga.com, laurenjonesforus.com (including its events pages), votegambill.com, electharden.com (including its events page), cowanforcongress.com, betterbartow.us (including its posts), electreverendcoombs.com. Mitchell Scoggins, Andrea Jude and Travis Jordan have no campaign website that we found.
- Party websites and event pages: bartowgop.com (including its leadership page) and the Bartow County Republican Party's Ticket Tailor page (no current events listed); gagop.org (no events page); bartowcountydemocrats.com and the Democratic Party of Georgia's Mobilize listings for Bartow; and the ActBlue, WinRed and Eventbrite pages linked from these sites.
- Organization websites: thisdoesntdefineme.org.
- Recorded votes: official House roll calls on legis.ga.gov.
- Not checked: Facebook pages (they require a login); the Georgia Secretary of State business search and the IRS Tax Exempt Organization Search (both blocked our automated check).
Bartow court sources
- Publicly searchable, checked: Bartow County Sheriff's Office inmate inquiry (jailroster.bc-cville.org), searched by name for all ten candidates, including people no longer in custody. We found no record matching any of them. A booking alone would not be listed, since it shows no final disposition.
- Not publicly searchable, not used: Bartow Superior Court case records (PeachCourt requires an account); Bartow Magistrate Court (no public case search; its online system is e-filing that requires a sign-in).
- Not used: Probate Court traffic cases (traffic is excluded) and juvenile court (not public).
